SUPILLOWS are in the shop!

Jun 13 2015

We just got our first shipment of the SUPILLOW in the shop! These are a wonderful way to support your back while beading or doing any task that requires sitting in a chair for a period of time.  This pillow can be used as a support for other body parts and is great for traveling. It comes with its own pump and liner for a custom inflation and even a metal hook for attaching. These pillows were designed by bead artist Leanne Netzow. The covers are washable and they are MADE IN THE USA!  They are new MUST HAVE item for bead artists and are a huge hit in the shop already.

We sell these in the shop but we can also offer them for sale directly through the Supillow website at a 20% savings if you use the code: MBG20. Shop at  http://supillow.theshoppad.com/#/

We're off to BEAD and BUTTON!

May 30 2015

A year ago, I was watching all the fun that bead artists I admire were having at the Bead and Button show in Milwaukee. As a bead store owner, I have been aware of the show for years, but the day to day responsibility of the shop kept me so busy I was unable to attend. I knew that for me to get there I would need to do something drastic. So I got busy and worked hard to come up with some interesting workshop projects to present at the show. In early August of last year, the projects were off for approval and all four of my workshops were accepted. Next Saturday (June 6), I will teach the one pictured here: Golden Lavaliere.

Crystal edged cuff bracelet featured in the December 2014 Bead and Button magazine

Nov 22 2014

I have been overwhelmed by the response to my bracelet design featured int the December 2014 Bead and Button magazine. I would like to thank the editors of Bead and Button magazine for giving me the latitude to change the design of this piece to accommodate a clasp popularized by designer Aurelio Castano and by Perry Bookstein of York Beads. A special shout out to York Beads for 90 years of bringing fabulous beads into the world - my heart is with you as you begin the process of closing down your operation in New York City.

I include a picture of the newest incarnation of this design in matte green edged with black on black crystal rondelles capped with iridescent green lochrosen.

Finally - my first "on line" kit for sale

Jun 04 2014
My Bead Gallery has rarely sold kits of our designs, but I have had a number of requests from readers of Bead and Button magazine where one of my designs ("Studded") was published in the June 2014 issue. So, I finally pulled together the kits that were featured in the magazine. If it says "sold out" call me at 941.460.8800 or email me at mybeadgallery@gmail.com to request the one you want and I will make one just for you. I do have other stud colors available on line if you want to make one with your color choice.
